HOUSE OF GLORY

Established in 2008, House of Glory Community Action Team co-ordinates, supports and manages several social action projects that have been initiated by The Church; seeking to be relevant and love our community as shown by Jesus. The work of the House Of Glory Community Action Team is a practical way of caring for others.

As a Church, We have grown from an initial congregation of 25 to approximately 500 Congregation who come from all across Edmonton and some from outside Edmonton. Members came from places like:

Red Deer
St. Albert
Fort McMurray
Fort Saskatchewan
Calgary

There are over 30 nationalities represented in the church As a local church, House of Glory is passionately committed to serving the local community.

Career Development Seminar

The career and Development department at House of Glory International Ministry organized a Business Career Seminar to provide professional support for business' and individuals equipping participants with tools needed for Maximizing their Potentials. The speakers shared professional insight and practical knowledge on topics like Sellable Career paths, Writing outstanding resumes, Interview coaching, Business Planning, How to raise finance for your business, Expanding your business ideas, Networking opportunities, Sharing business ideas, etc. They also gave participants the opportunity to receive individual coaching and consultation on how to apply the information acquired for growth and success. Kid's Summer Club

Also this summer a Kids' Summer Club was run at House of Glory children aged 4 to 11.

Food Bank

The food bank, under the women's ministry, supports the community members in need of groceries. Everyone is always welcome to join and eat from the table of the Lord.

Youth Conference (YC)

House of Glory sponsored a couple of youth members from the church to attend this year's YC which is a multi-denominational Christian youth conference, presented annually by Extreme Dream Ministries. At Extreme Dream we are passionate about seeing youth radically transformed by the life-changing power of a relationship with Jesus and the plan He has for them to make a difference in the world they live in. The guest speakers and bands we bring in for YC share our passion for seeing a generation transformed by the love of God and equipped to live in His purposes..

Young Adults Easter Party

The Young Adults Department of House of Glory organized an Easter party this year for the Church community and it's surroundings. This created a platform for young adults from outside the church to come together and socialize whilst learning about how young adults can religiously impact the communities the live in and make a difference. In a community with such a vast array of needs the possibilities for service are endless. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve in the little way that we can.

Global Outreach Day (G.O.D)

Members of House of Glory join million Christians from all over the world to celebrate the Global Outreach Day. The vision of the Global Outreach Day is to build up a network of Christians worldwide, equipping and mobilizing them to share the Gospel to over 200 nations on one single day. The G.O.D. is a massive mobilisation movement in the body of Christ to fulfil the Great Commission to our generation. It started with a single day, but it's already growing into a mighty movement! Our focus is not only to mobilize the already active evangelistic people. We aim to see the WHOLE church - every single believer - stepping into divine action to reach the lost. We are believing for a revolutionary change in the culture and thinking of the global body of Christ concerning practical evangelism.

HOGIM Annual Church Picnic

Our Annual Church Picnic organized each summer, has grown from the participation of a few hundreds to thousands. Family fun, fellowship and laughter abounded at HOGIM Church's annual picnic held at Hawrelak Park in Edmonton, AB. Approximately 1100 members and non members, gathered to enjoy each other's company, play volleyball, Soccer, Sack Race, or indulge in hamburgers, hotdogs, grilled corn, and homemade side dishes. Several first time guests came to partake in the joy and camaraderie that is always evident when the church family gets together. The free-flow of love that pours from spirit-filled people is just one of the many things that makes HOGIM Church the place to bring your family.

Fathers loving their children. Mother's creating a Godly atmosphere in their homes. Children loving God and respecting their parents. These are just some of the benefits of establishing your family in a spirit-filled church like House of Glory International Ministries. To an outside observer, the HOGIM annual church picnic might have looked just like another event, but it was so much more.

Families were strengthened, Values reinforced, Love and encouragement was poured out as freely as cool lemonade on a hot summer's day. This is the beauty and wonder of the body of Christ, and this has always been our culture at the House of Glory, Edmonton, AB.

"He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love."strong> (Ephesians 4:16)

Divinic Praise

Praising God connotes expressing gratitude and respect to Him and it is an act of worship on its own. We can praise Him by singing (Judges 5:3), dancing (Psalm 149:3), and speaking (Psalm 145:21) etc. No one is exempted from praising God (Psalm 67:5) and the Heavens and Earth (Psalm 69:34) along with His entire works (Psalm 145:10) does praise Him too. We are free to praise Him with Trumpets, Harps, Flutes, Cymbals, etc. (Psalm 150). We can also praise Him more and more (Psalm 71:14) and forever (Psalm 52:9).

King David praised God passionately throughout his lifetime. In 2 Samuel 6:14, the bible says: ''Then David danced before the Lord with all his might'' and on one occasion, he spoke in praise of God as follows: ''…You are great O Lord God. For there is none like You nor is there any God besides You…'' (2 Samuel 7:22).

He was even unapologetic when Michal, daughter of Saul, despised him for praising God so lavishly (2 Samuel 6:16, 21-22). With this in mind, HOGIM always love to praise and worship God, and our Dividic Praise program, creates a platform for us to invite singers and choir groups from other churches to come together, under one roof and praise the Lord.

Christmas Banquet

In December each year, members of the church and the community meet for the HOGIM Christmas Banquet. A night for socialization, praise, ut 1000 Christmas hampers to single parent and low-income families in the community. Each hamper contained everything required for a delicious Christmas dinner including a 5kg turkey.
